Introduction Programs for Organizational Project Excellence help organizations achieve higher levels of innovation and competiveness. The Center offers the following program support activities:

Assessment for Organizational Project Excellence

  • Perform 1/2 to 2 days of documentation analysis and interview staff from various levels of the project organization.
  • Write an assessment report with recommended areas for enhancement.

Program Startup Support

  • Program Chartering.
  • Selecting and appointing a Program Owner and a Program Manager.
  • Staffing the initial program team.
  • Facilitating a 2 to 3.5 day kickoff workshop for all stakeholders and team members.
    Participants work together in teams of 3 to 4 people to organize a project and lead a diverse virtual team of technical contributors through a project lifecycle supported by a realistic computer simulation. This engaging experience allows participants to benchmark their own organization against a best practices organization that uses tools, processes, and people to achieve project excellence.

Preliminary Organizational Design Workshop (part 1 of 2)

  • Facilitate a 2 to 3 day workshop for the Program Team to introduce organizational strategies, structures, processes, and culture to support project excellence. Conceptual organizational design alternatives will be developed.

Final Organizational Design & Implementation Planning Workshop (part 2 of 2)

  • Facilitate a 3 day workshop for the Program Team to finalize the organizational design and a program mangagement plan is developed.


Implementation Coaching
Center consultants support the Organizational Project Excellence Team at key milestones during the implementation.
