Introduction The "Organizational Program for Project Excellence" helps organizations achieve higher levels of innovation and competiveness. The Center offers the following support activities:

1. Assessment for Organizational Project Excellence
  • Perform 1/2 to 2 days of analysis and interviews of staff from various levels of the project organization.
  • Write an assessment report with recommended areas for enhancement.
2. Introduction to Project Excellence Workshop
  • 3.5 day kickoff workshop for all stakeholders and team members.
    Participants work together in teams of 3 to 4 people to organize a project and lead a diverse virtual team of technical contributors through a project lifecycle supported by a realistic computer simulation. This engaging experience allows participants to benchmark their own organization against a best practices organization that uses tools, processes, and people to achieve project excellence.

3. Preliminary Organizational Design Workshop (part 1 of 2)

  • 3 day workshop for the Program Team to introduce organizational strategies, structures, processes, and culture to support project excellence. Conceptual organizational design alternatives will be developed.

4. Final Organizational Design & Implementation Planning Workshop (part 2 of 2)

  • 3 day workshop for the Program Team to finalize the organizational design and a program mangagement plan is developed.

5. Implementation Coaching

Center consultants provide expert advice to the Organizational Project Excellence Team at all key phases including:
  • Pre-Program (program charter, appoinment of Program Owner and Program Manager)
  • Program Start
  • Program Execution, Coordination, and Controlling
  • Program Closedown
